The
Department of Geology at Mercyhurst College is committed to providing undergraduates an education that stresses hands on experiences both in the field and the laboratory. We offer small class sizes and abundant opportunity to get in the field and to participate in faculty sponsored research, particularily in the areas of geoarchaeology, paleontology, coastal processes, glacial geology, and global climate change. Our department is an integral part of the Mercyhurst Archaeological Institute, an internationally recognized program training the next generation of archaeologists, anthropologists, and geoarchaeologists.
My role
I'm an assistant professer of geology at Mercyhurst. My teaching and research interests cover the areas of sedimentology, stratigraphy, global climate change, glacial geology, and the study of earth's landforms. I am particularily interested in understanding high resolution records of ice retreat and paleohydrology at the end of the last age. These records will provide a unparrelled look at how continental ice sheets respond to intense global warming, and will help us understand feedbacks between freshwater discharge to the oceans and global climate change.
Please feel free to explore this web site to find out more about my interests and our program.
