About the Camp
July 13th-18th
2008
(Note: Players invited to the
National camp can leave on the 19th if needed.)
|
20
Hours of On-Ice Training |
The camp is structured to provide
serious hockey players with the foundation to move toward higher levels
of competition. Each player will be on the ice THREE TIMES DAILY during
this intense hockey camp. Each of the three sessions will have a main
focus, either on power skating, individual skill development or
team
tactics. Power skating sessions will help to improve a player's speed
and quickness, and proper skating techniques. Skill development sessions
will focus on player's passing, shooting and puck handling. Team
sessions will teach players the intricacies of the game, and will
utilize the techniques developed in the two earlier sessions to improve
each player's overall game.
This camp is designed to challenge
each individual in a fun and creative way. In addition to the three
daily ice sessions, each player will be challenged off the ice. Players
will be introduced to strength and conditioning exercises, agility and plyometric training and
video analysis. Each player will learn how to
use off-ice activities to better her performance.
